Prompt

Apply an RGB Channel Isolation effect, displaying only the source red channel as neutral grayscale intensity. Make red-rich areas light and red-poor cyan or blue areas dark, with smooth gray transitions and intact fine detail. Remove all color tinting and added texture. Keep the original subject and composition.

Identify

A single color channel1 is made visible.

Principle

R, G or B can be displayed in isolation or as monochrome intensity2.

Try it out

Compare the blue channel against the red channel.

Classification

Calculated image processing result.

02 Diffraction sunlight - color channelsA diffraction pattern is decomposed into its constituent red, green, and blue components. The comparison shows how the spatial distribution of light intensity differs when each primary color channel is isolated.Pieter Kuiper · Public domain · Wikimedia Commons
